Fun Pencil Drawing - 5 Major Points to Get Started Now

For many people pencil drawing is either a talent, a skill, a hobby or a life passion. For others its something beautiful to look at. A lot of people getting started in the art of pencil drawing presents one or more of these 5 problem points i am about to share with you, i am also going to give you tips and trades of how to overcome these problems so you can move on with your drawing and have fun, so read carefully.

1. Overcome your fear: It is widely easy to understand that when it comes to starting out in pencil drawing a lot of people is easily overcome with fear, mainly because the end product don't often turn out like what they intended to begin with. Some will try to pass it off as something else, some may add a few more details to completely change the subject, while others would just put down the pencil forever, tell themselves i am a failure and i can't draw. These examples are all poor excuses or ways for dealing with your problems. The best approach to overcome that fear is simply practice. Witch brings us to major point number two.

2. Practice, practice, practice: Notice I repeat this three times, that is because this is key to any success. As an old saying goes practice makes perfect, the same is applied in learning pencil drawing, of coarse your not going to be perfect the first time but hey try again, all you've got to loose is maybe some time doing it, but think about what you gain from practicing, experience, skills, better results and best of all confidence. This now chain link you back to point one witch was overcoming your fear. Think about it if you have confidence then you wont need to fear and if you don't have that fear then drawing comes more easy for you.

3. Start with easy objects: Ok this may come as a slap in the face to some of you, but you don't want to jump start on stuffs that is too technical like drawing landscape or portraits or stuffs like that. I know it can always be fascinating to want to draw a human face or a picture of your dog or your house or one of those things, but if you can't draw a straight line or a perfect circle then your just jumping ahead of yourself. So start easy, practice drawing a line, try to do it in one straight quick draw instead of squabbling, this will also helps to build your confidence once you can accomplish this. You may then want to try drawing circles, then draw objects using straight lines like a square or a box and then circular objects like fruits. try out different stuffs but the key is keep it simple.

4. Learn how to apply shading: Weather your approach to pencil drawing is simple or realistic, it is very important to apply the proper shading to get the right look and feel to your drawing. It is not easy to explain how to do this in details but here goes. When applying shading to your drawing you may want to consider first were the light falls on the object that your drawing and then understand how this may cause a shadow to drop therefore applying your shading area. This may now sounds a bit technical if you are a beginner artist but don't worry just a few practice and it will soon start to come naturally.

5. Have fun: This is the simplest yet most important point in this lesson. Why is it so important? Well even while I was still in school I was thought that when going out in the world to find a job or start a career or whatever it is that am going to be doing for the rest of my life, it is important that I choose something that i will enjoy doing. This also apply to pencil drawing weather or not you are doing it as a job, a hobby, a pastime or whatever you choose to do it for, you have to enjoy doing it or you just will not get good results. If you tend to feel stress or like this is work or just plain boring, don't do it. One good way to overcome that negativity is to stop drawing and try to find something that is fun to you. Watch T V, take a walk, listen to your favorite music, anything that you like, the idea is to give it time then get back to it when your feeling more comfortable and just think of it as fun instead of work, experiment be creative, try to make different approaches to the same project and just have fun with your pencil drawing.

Now that you have gotten these five major points for you to start making your pencil drawing more simple, easy, comfortable and fun, go ahead and try them out. Overcome your fear and confident, practice to become perfect, start easy and grow to more technical stuff, use shading to make your drawing look more realistic and have fun doing it.

Always remember, drawing is fun!
