Learn Pencil Drawing of Cats and Dogs Using Black and Colour Pencils

The art of portrayal is relatively difficult, compared to the other drawings and paintings. While doing all types of paintings or drawings, an artist enjoys a poetic license, a license to use his or her artistic freedom.

Our dogs and cats always have the most curious expressions on their faces, especially when we are looking at them. Look at the face of a cat when she is sitting on your compound wall or on a garden chair made of stone. Here the subject matter provides us with a chance to exploit the beauty of the pencil drawing. Here when light is prone to generate extreme contrast among the objects, a dog or a cat and the other things in the surrounding, it is good opportunity to learn the art of pencil drawing.

We can use coloured pencils, too, for the drawing. The technique of pencil lining and shading remains the same for the black or colour pencils. But in case of the colour pencils you should have good experience of drawing. If you know some basic rules of the art of pencil drawing, that would help you much.

While using colour pencil as medium of drawing, you can exploit it extremely well. The different shades available in this field of colour drawing would enable you more freedom in expressing the scene before your eyes.  The pencils and proper choice of the colours play a greater part, if you are drawing with coloured pencils. In case of the black pencil drawing, the skillful use of eraser also comes to your help.
